Dear Ms. Hipp and Members of the Pines of Carolina Council,
On behalf of Great Outdoor Provision Co., I want to thank you for helping to make the Scout Benefit Sale a great success. Because of the commitment and dedication of Girl Scout Troops like Troop 697 (Charlotte) Great Outdoor Provision Co is donating $15,400 to the local Girl Scout and Boy Scout Councils in North Carolina.
The local councils that extended troop support realized a significant benefit as the greater community responded by allocating their purchases to this Sale. Travis Zarins, our Durham manager said “Scout Troop 486 was amazing!” His description of the troop’s participation represents a model for our future Scout Benefit Sales where Scouts exhibiting their skills have the opportunity to talk with the local community about the value of the Scouting program. Travis also told me that our staff could take a few pointers from Dallas, the 10 year-old Scout who instantly learned the art of cooking with the new Jet Boil Stove.
The effort invested by local troops demonstrates why Girl Scouts of America is such an outstanding organization. The hands-on enthusiasm and determination were significant assets to the event. We are pleased to present the Pines of Carolina Council with this check of $2700 and look forward to building on this success. Thank you for your partnership in this venture.
Sincerely,
Tom Valone
President
